ABOUT

Steven is originally from Sydney, lived in London for 6 years and now resides in Melbourne. After having a very successful career in theatre, film and choreography, he is now fulfilling his other passions, photography and videography. He studied a diploma of photography and photo imaging at CATC Design School.

During his career as a performer he featured in Vogue USA with Nicole Kidman for the December 2000 edition photographed by world renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz for Baz Luhrmann's 'Moulin Rouge'. He also choreographed/co-directed the 'Ballroom Blitz' special editorial collaborating with Baz Luhrmann and multiple Oscar winner Catherine Martin for Vogue Australia April 2014 edition starring Australian supermodel Abbey Lee Kershaw.

Steven's most inspirational photographers are Annie Leibovitz, Mario Testino and legend Douglas Kirkland. It was on the Vogue shoot with Annie who sparked his passion for photography,  Growing up in a creative atmosphere, he would always get inspiration from the pages of Vogue and GQ, sifting through the fashion pages absorbing as much as he could.

Steven's style is polished, focusing on fashion and beauty and is always pushing boundaries.

 

He has been lucky enough to shoot on the beaches of Bermuda to the fast nightlife of Tokyo and Antibes in the south of France. Highlights include shooting for Montara Wines and Australian Musical Theatre royalty Marina Prior, Broadway and West End star Caroline O'Connor, singer Casey Donovan and Cameron Daddo.

Steven recently shot the publicity images for the stars of Moulin Rouge the Musical in Australia for their media release. He worked with Casey Donovan again shooting publicity and marketing images for an upcoming documentary for SBS.

​

He is always open to collaborations and new projects.
